As you can see I haven't been the best at keeping up with blogging... I guess I'm just not used to it that much!!! but I thought, since I don't really have much on right now- I'd unashamedly plug my lovely pictures I've been creating....IN DIGITAL ART!!!!!!
First up came Sonic the Hedgehog (courtesy of SEGA). this was all done on a graphics tablet and Paint.net. I would say for my very first character drawing, It's pretty good! And it helped me to get used to the graphics tab a bit more too which is an obvious bonus!
Next up- Timon!!! I absolutely LOVE The Lion King so it was an ideal choice to start up on something I adore so much! Not to mention the fact I grew up with it being my absolute most favourite movie of all time!! (That and George of the Jungle)
But you can't have Timon without Pumbaa right? They are the greatest Double act in existence with the best motto: Hakuna Matata
It was only recently I realized the Pumba was in fact the smartest one of them all too, knowing that stars were "balls of gas burning billions of miles away". Pumba, you may have made me more interested in science than, dare I say, Bill Nye =O
This one isn't anyone famous, it's just one of my housemates. I secretly tried to draw him and my friend Scott while they were at home, but Scott didn't look like himself at all in my drawing.... so I had to cut him out (Sorry!!!!) but this one didn't do too badly!!
Normally a shirt and tie would be reserved for special occasions like a job interview, or a suit up party, but Chris was at a graduation service helping out and had to look respectable =P but it made my life that little bit harder.
And penultimately, this is a really bad drawing of Kyo from the Manga book Fruits Basket. I tried to draw it by hand first from memory because I got back into reading the series again and he's probably my favourite character aside from Shigure (he's so creepy in the books that it's funny!!!)
I then however decided that I'd try and trace my drawing on to Manga Studio, since I just got it and needed to practice how to use it, but I don't think I quite got the hang of it, since his eyes are a bit out of line but it was an attempt none-the-less!!
And last but not least, my self portrait!!! I liked it so much I set it as the background!!!
I've been doing a lot better with MS and learnt a few tricks from the amazing Scott!! So thanks bud!!! Still using Paint.net to colour though, haven't yet figured that out on Manga Studio. If anyone knows can you help me out???
